I was very fortunate to participate in the “Sydney Truck Show” on the 7th to 9th of August 2008. My prototype electric hybrid system for heavy vehicles was debuted at this show. We had failed to gain any form of support from our government to produce and promote our concept. Having limited funds we needed to promote our product in the shortest time possible and to a targeted market for the least amount of money.
I saw the truck show advertisement in a trucking magazine and rang Phillip Nennsteil sales executive of “Exhibition Management”. The gods must have been watching over me, he had one site left. Phillip filled in the forms, emailed them for signing and we were in the show. The service didn’t stop there, event coordinator Arlene Todd sent me timely reminders when I forgot to file site plans etc. Thank you Arlene.
Logistics manager, John Knight was a great help in setting up our site, even when I rang at the eleventh hour in a panic to say we were running late, he just said get here as soon as you can.
Part of the exhibition package was a show promotion in the “Big Wheels” section of the Telegraph News Paper.
So many people said they had read about our “ARGOSY HYBRID” in the Telegraph paper and had to come see it for themselves. Thank you to Graham Smith, for the great feature. Next time I might be able to afford a model for the photo shoot.
I greatly appreciate the positive feedback and support given by the show visitors. This has resulted in the fast tracking our hybrid concept into service and to early marketing. We even have a potential client in Brazil, via the Sydney Truck Show.

I really needed the support to continue with our project. I have told John and Phillip to earmark the same stand for us at the next “Sydney Truck Show”.
