F150 Ford "electric hybrid conversion" 
"e-drive" is a retrofit electric hybrid system for live rear axle motor vehicles. A custom made rear axle and a close coupled  electric motor transforms any standard motor vehicle in this class, into a fully functioning electric hybrid. The batteries and accessories are fitted below floor level of the tray bed or pickup body. The system can be recharged via the grid to supplement the regenerative breaking. Prototype testing to be completed by December 2009.
