Projects:
Humvee Hybrid Conversion     "retrofitted electric hybrid hummer".

You drive a what?  Wouldn't you prefer a HYBRID HUMMER.

"Humvee" comes from "HMMWV", a military term for "High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle".

Our simple conversion  comprises of a modified differential unit to incorporate the electric motor into the vehicles drive line.

The modified differential unit has an additional pinion gear assemble in a custom made housing. This housing replaces the cover plate on the rear of the existing live rear axle.

 The system can be recharged via the grid and regenerative breaking.

Obama's Pet Projects: Lasers, Hybrid Hummers

Obama has landed $1 million for the Illinois Institute of Technology to develop a cost-effective conversion kit to retrofit Army Humvees with electric hybrid systems. It's a trick the military has been  trying to pull of for years a hybrid can run whisper-quiet, and without gorging itself of fuel.  But the generals have to get themselves the battlefield equivalent of a Prius.

My Comment;

 I have been informing the US military of our simply conversions and have never received a reply.

Our conversion is ready for production. Funding is the only thing holding us back.

Components for conversion.

    2 pinion gears running on a crown wheel.

                                                                                                                     Ultracapacitors/batteries

  Remove rear cover from diff housing.

                                                                                                                            Cooling unit

  New cover/housing uses original bolt holes of the diff housing for fitting.

The new rear cover/housing is fitted with a pinion assembly for the electric motor to drive the rear wheels.

Electric motor is fitted to new housing/cover prior to fitting.
