“ITS
Electric” has taken the initiative to introduce a retrofit solution to
significantly reduce fuel consumption and exhaust emission from
Australia’s existing fleet of commercial vehicles. All other research and
development for vehicle electrification has been concentrated on new OEM
hybrid vehicles.
There
are no other plans in Australia to reduce fuel consumption and exhaust
emissions from the existing fleet
of vehicles.
Australia
has just over 2 million commercial vehicles on its roads today.
Our
goal is to convert all of these vehicles into electric hybrids ASAP.
Trucks
have a usable life of up to 30 years, imagine how much damage their exhaust
emissions will do in the
coming decades if left unchecked.
The
technology is available today to help combat air pollution from motor
vehicles.
Our
Australian designed and manufactured “retrofit electric hybrid system”
is adaptable to all RWD vehicles.
Heavy
articulated vehicles consume between 80 & 90 litres of fuel per 100
kilometres.
Depending
on their driving cycle the “retrofit electric hybrid system” will reduce
their fuel consumption and
exhaust emission from 25% to 50%.
The
first targeted group for conversion is the 75,000 semi-trailer trucks
registered in Australia
With
the aid of our international distributors we have started projects in North
America, Great Britain, South Africa and Turkey. Future markets are Asia,
South America and Russia.
Converting
1 truck is equivalent to converting 50 cars.
